Eschatology : Study of the end time.
A good student of the dispensations has no difficulty understanding that we are in the grace period. A dispensation is a set period of time that God has a plan for humanity.
We had that of innocence , conscience , human government , promise , law , and now grace. The next shall be the millennial reign of Christ. For want of space , let us not go into the various school of thought.
Covid-19 has placed the world on a lock down. Guess what? Because even worship places are closed doors of heresy are left wide open. A lot is found in the social media and cable network. The Pastors therefore should be more concerned now to practice polemics than politics. Now that religious gatherings are put on hold as tentative preventive measure against the pandemic , false teachings should not be allowed to thrive.
The end of the world ?
Many are told that the pandemic is the end of the world. According to these people , humans will die one-by - one. But that is far from the truth.
Date fixing for the coming of Christ.
Some have thought the ability to forecast the coming of Christ is a mark of spirituality. But that is far from the truth because there can never be a revelation that will counter the Bible. See Second Thessalonians 2:2.
Other references on the subject include Matthew 24:36; Mark 13:32 ; Luke 14:40 . These authors saw together ( had a synoptic view ) and are unanimous that the day of rapture is uncertain... To be continued.
